Transform Your Life Blog

Summer is here, beautiful soul, and I want to ask you something a little brave.
What if this is the summer you actually rested?
Not the summer you finally got organized. Not the summer you started the new routine. Not the summer you launched the side hustle or finished the basement or got the body back. Just the summer you let yourself rest.
I know. I felt that little flinch too. Stay with me.
Most of the women I work with cannot let themselves rest unless they have earned it. Rest is the reward at the end of the to-do list. Rest is what you do after you finish. Rest is what you take when you collapse.
But your nervous system does not know the difference between earned rest and given rest. Your body just needs the rest.
Here is what I am practising this summer. I call it rest counts.
Reading a chapter on the porch counts. Closing your eyes for ten minutes counts. Walking slowly instead of fast counts. Cancelling the thing counts. Sitting in the car for one extra minute before you go inside counts. Saying no to the picnic you do not want to go to counts. Putting your phone down at nine counts.
None of those are big. All of them are nervous-system-changing.
Your future self does not need you to grind through July. She needs you to soften.
Especially if you are a caregiver. Especially if you are the one everyone calls. Especially if your home runs on you. Especially if you have been doing pink space wrong for years by booking it and then giving it away to someone else's emergency. Yes I see you. I am right there with you.
This summer, try one tiny thing every day that your future self will thank you for. Not a goal. Not a habit stack. Just one small claim on your own life.
If this is the summer you want to actually rest, come be with us in the free Creating Space community on Facebook. It is a warm, no-pressure room full of women practising rest without earning it, cheering each other on one tiny claim at a time. Come in and say hello. We would love to have you. Join us at

I help you reclaim your home from clutter, so you can find ease and live your life with joy. I am your Professional Decluttering Life Coach, Wellness Facilitator, and Trifecta Alchemy Practitioner.
I was where you are, I felt completely overwhelmed by clutter. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get ahead, and the piles kept growing along with my frustration.
Why does decluttering seem easy for everyone but me?
Why do I feel embarrassed to invite people over?
Why am I so exhausted and unworthy?
When will it finally get easier?

''I highly recommend her for your
next organizational project!''
''Everyone needs a non-judgmental “best friend” who will work shoulder-to-shoulder with you as you work toward your organizational goals. Julie is that best friend. In the kindest and gentlest way, Julie helped me work through a large project in smaller, more manageable tasks. She kept me focused on the task at hand, dealing with both the physical and emotional attachment I had with some of the items I had held on to for much too long. Whether it’s a short-term or long-term project, Julie can help you get to the finish line! I highly recommend her for your next organizational project!'' - Kathy

''She opened my mind to new tools and strategies into my daily life''
''My experience with Julie was incredible. She is a kind, calming, safe space. I enjoyed the exercise we did together. It really help me view my emotions from a different perspective. She knew what questions to ask and how to help me analyze my feelings. She’s educated in what she does. I would love to do it again with her!! She opened my mind to new tools and strategies into my daily life. ❤️❤️❤️''- Kate

''It quickly gave me perspective on how I allow my emotions take control''
''The exercise was quick and effective. It quickly gave me perspective on how I allow my emotions take control. It’s interesting how I had immediate answers to the questions I was asked. I can only speak for myself, but this changed my thoughts for that day and I was present. I did continue to think about the exercise the following day and tried to remember how I felt when I answered the questions. I believe it was effective. I plan on using that exercise or at least remember what I answered when I feel like I’m spiraling or overthinking my thoughts'' - Maritza

''I feel about myself and take care of myself is related to so many aspects of my life, including my relationships and decluttering my home.''
''Being in this community with Julie’s guidance has helped me to understand about Self Care and Self Love, two concepts that were very foreign to me. I get it know, and I’m learning more all the time about how the way I feel about myself and take care of myself is related to so many aspects of my life, including my relationships and decluttering my home.'' - Laura
